Kindly I would like to ask about two things, first is I'm asylum seeker, I did not receive response from the BAMF yet, I applied at University of Luneburg and I have been accepted since the winter semester 2023, however I'm living in Bad Kreuznach as the BAMF of Speyer sent me, How I Could transfer from Bad Kreuznach to Luneburg under the study perpous?
2- How I can get support for studying (semester fees, insurance)?

Regarding your first question in the asylum procedure there are different regulations regarding your ability to move freely. You can apply for a so called “umverteilung” at your local immigration office. Then the immigration office at Luneburg will decide if you can move there. What will help if you have an acceptance for example at the student dorms in Luneburg.

Regarding the support for students. Since you will still be in the asylum procedure you will receive so called social support from the state (Asylbewerberleistungen). You cannot receive BAFÖG while still in the asylum procedure. But once your asylum procedure is accepted your financial support will stop from the Sozial Amt and you can not apply for money through the job center. That’s why it is important that you apply for a so called prelimary decision (Vorabentscheid) for BAFÖG so you can receive the money quicker once your asylum application is accepted. That way you do not risk being without an income for a long time.

I appreciate your reply and would like to tell you that I have tried with the immigration office in Bad Kreuznach to approve on the (Antrag auf Umverteilung) with student room offer and the semster ticket and mini job to support my self, he took all the papers those I gave and didn't give it to me back without giving any prove that he took them, and he said you are Egypatian and the BAMF will refuse you anyway and we will bring you back to your country, I consider that as direct racism, I reported that to the social amt, AWO, and Diakony all of them said we are just small we can't make anything, I went to Laweyer he is just taking money from me and did not take any step, I really don't know how one persone can control my life like that in germany in 2024, and I don't know how I can stand against it if there is no ligal way to stop him. I hope someone can help me on this. I have bachelor in Managment information systems and I already have the recognition on it from Zab.

Thank you for your reply. I am very sorry to hear all the trouble and discrimination you have been having with the immigration office in Bad Kreuznach. It also must be frustrating that the counselling center and lawyer could not help you.
