My under 18 son is in Germany | Together in Germany

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am from Afghanistan , my 16 years old son has been in Germany since 1th April 2022.

currently he is going school and busy on his studies , he has been suffering away from his family ,how can he apply to bring his immediate family members from Afghanistan to Germany like (Father , Mother,and under 18 brothers and sisters).

i have worked in many projects with ISAF in Kabul and now my and my family life is in danger because of those projects , i have been changing my home location every 2-3 months to be hidden from local terrorist groups.

my son is too young he doesn't undrastand how to apply and how to invite his family from Afghanistan to Germany ? please cooperate and support.

Generally, family reunification depends on the residence status to which you want to join. Therefore, I would like to ask what status your son currently has.
In case your son has gone through an asylum procedure and already received a positiv reply, he can apply for family reunification within 3 months after his recognition: https://handbookgermany.de/en/family-reunification
If this is not the case and since he is a minor at the age of 16, there are possibilities to bring parents or persons who are entitled to custody. Under certain circumstances this also applies to underage, unmarried siblings as well. Unfortunately, the Federal Admission Program for persons at risk and are still in Afghanistan, is currently paused. I recommend that your son reaches out to a counseling center in his area for assistance, such as the Youth Migration Service: https://www.jugendmigrationsdienste.de/ueber-jmd/jmd-finden or consult BUMF, which provides counseling for minor refugees: https://b-umf.de/en/.

Hi,
he migrated to Germany received positive response (one year acceptance) then he and his supervisor (the one he is living their under him) appealed that the positive response should include his family also to come to Germany and still no response to his appealed , it is around two months they appealed for family reunification, he is living in bayren-wortsburg-ochsenfurt.

do you thing the appeal for family reunification will be accepted and get positive response?

As I said, the possibility for family reunification depends on the residence status of your son. Do you know his paragraph (§) which should be visible on his residence permit (plastic card)? Unfortunately, I cannot tell how far the process in your case is. Application for family reunion in general takes a very long time.
However, your son can discuss some options with the Youth Migration Service.

Hi, actually my son has gotten one year acceptance for himself only but he rejected and appealed to get three years acceptance where he can invite his family as well. will does it work ? gov of Germany will accept his appeal for his family or not ? any idea ? thank you
